Vizio Announces New Google-Cast Powered TVs That Come With A Tablet As The Remote

Vizio has today officially announced their new P-Series of TVs and needless to say, they’re pretty interesting. These TVs come with SmartCast, powered by Google Cast. Just like Google’s Chromecast, this technology allows you to easily send content such as Netflix, Spotify, Hulu, and more to your TV with ease, but on the P-Series, it’s built in. These TVs are capable of using any of the same apps and mirroring functionality as your standard Chromecast.

Obviously you can use this TV with your standard smartphone or tablet, but to make it easier for everyone to control it, P-Series TVs will ship with a 6-inch Android powered device that will act as the TV’s remote control. This remote features an octa-core processor, 16GB of storage, and a 1080p display. This allows it to run any of your favorite apps for casting along with allowing it to act as a controller for any cast enabled games. For charging, it also comes with a wireless charging dock.

Vizio is selling the new P-Series starting at $999 for the 50″ 4K model going all the way up to $3,799 for the 75″ 4K model. All 4 options feature HDR as well for better image quality. Along with the new P-Series TV’s, Vizio has also announced several new speaker options, but they have yet to release details on those.
