T-Mobile’s Des Smith has revealed today over Twitter today that T-Mobile’s variant of the LG V10 would see an update to Android Marshmallow starting next week. This update has been slowly rolling out to V10 users for the past month or two with Verizon users catching it last month and AT&T users yet to see it. The V10 released in the back half of 2015 and while it was very well received, users have been eagerly waiting for an update past Android Lollipop which they’ve had since launch.
As is usual with any Marshmallow upgrade, the LG V10 will get new features including Doze, Google Now on Tap, and app permissions along with dozens of other improvements and tweaks. We don’t know yet the exact date when this update will land, but if I were a betting man I’d guess the first half of the week.
