These are the best smartphones on Cricket Wireless

It’s no lie that carriers can be expensive, so cheap yet reliable carriers are always appreciated. Cricket Wireless has always been one of our favorite options in this category. Running off of AT&T’s network with lower prices, it’s a great carrier for saving a few bucks, but without losing reliability. As with every other carrier, however, there’s a lot of phones to choose from, and not all of them are good. So, let’s take a look at the best smartphones you can buy on Cricket Wireless.

The Best: Samsung Galaxy S7

As with some other carriers, the best smartphone you can get on Cricket Wireless comes from Samsung. In this case, that’s the Samsung Galaxy S7, the company’s 2016 flagship. The Galaxy S7 has a 5.1″ AMOLED display with a premium metal and glass build along with top-tier specifications including the Snapdragon 820, 4GB of RAM, and one of the best cameras available on the market today. Plus, it’s water resistant.

Affordable, But Premium: Alcatel IDOL 4

If you’re not up to spending $649, which is totally understandable, Alcatel has a fantastic option available in its IDOL 4. Priced at $199, this device brings a 5.2″ display, octa-core chipset, and Android Marshmallow, all packed in a slim and premium metal and glass build. It also features front facing speakers, which are nothing short of incredible, as well as a solid camera. Also included with the IDOL 4 is a VR headset.

A Great Display With an Affordable Price: Samsung Galaxy Amp Prime

One thing many cheap phones are quick to ditch is a solid display, but you can’t go wrong with a solid AMOLED panel. With the Samsung Galaxy Amp Prime, you get a 5″ SuperAMOLED display, quad-core processor, 5MP rear camera, Android Marshmallow, and a 2,600 mAh battery with an ultra battery saving mode which can make the device last days on a charge.

Ultra Cheap, But Not Terrible: LG Spree

Lastly, a super cheap option. Cricket has several ultra-affordable smartphones, but one of the few I can actually recommend is the LG Spree. Packing a 4.5″ display, quad-core processor, Android Lollipop and 8GB of storage, it’s solid, but nothing crazy. The LG Spree definitely isn’t our first choice, but considering its $19.99 price tag on Cricket Wireless, it’s certainly worth a look if you need something super cheap.
