Google just released their monthly platform data for Android showing that Jelly Bean is currently running on nearly half of device accessing the Play Store. Jelly Bean consists of Android 4.1 to 4.3. but 4.1 is the most commonly used of these versions. In these latest statistics, 4.1’s share slightly fell while all previous versions also dropped market share. 4.3 also saw it’s first appearance on the list taking up 1.5% market share. This is not a surprise since Nexus devices as well as Google Play Edition devices recieved OTA updates to the software. The Galaxy Note 3 also launched with this most recent version. The HTC One also just recieved it’s update. Hopefully we will begin seeing Android 4.4 in this chart when the software is released soon.
