Nintendo’s Profits Continue To Slip As Wii U Sees Slight Sales Bump

Nintendo recently released their quarterly earnings report and it shows that the companies profits are continuing to slide downward.  The company had an operating loss of $187 million with sales around $1.17 billion. Wii U sales are still poor, but improved over 400% over the previous quarter. The company also managed to sell 2.49 million 3DS systems. This shows a year-on-year decline of nearly 20%. The company still expects to make a profit this fiscal year as the holiday season approaches, but their flagship console will have heavy competition in the coming weeks with the release of the PS4 and Xbox One.
