Slow to the party, Sprint today announced that Android 4.3 would be rolling out to their Galaxy Nexus starting today. While the GSM variant has had it for months, Sprint will officially make it available after being on 4.2.1 for quite a while. Verizon doesn’t seem to be following them as the Verizon variant of the device is still on 4.2.2. You can however root and ROM both devices as popular ROMs such as CyanogenMod and Paranoid Android have 4.3 available for the devices now.
As we are quickly approaching Android KitKat, we can only hope that the aging Galaxy Nexus will receive the update as well. Make sure to follow our social networks to stay informed on any Android announcements over the coming days.
