Acer’s C720 Chromebook has been the powerhouse of the mid-range Chromebook market since it’s release. It’s predecessor, the C710, has been in the Play Store since it’s launch, but now it is going to be released by the faster, more powerful, and newer C720 very soon. Along with the release of the Moto G today, Google has silently slipped the C720 into it’s Play Store Chromebook lineup.

This is the variant of the device with 2GB of RAM and a standard screen (no touch screen here). Oddly the price has also increased to $229. The device costs only $199 from other retailers. It is unknown right now why the price markup is apparent.

The C720 will be available for sale in Google Play soon.
