Lenovo Acquires Motorola Mobility For $2.91 Billion

Motorola was acquired by Google in 2012 for over $12 billion dollars. After about a year of doing nothing, Motorola unveiled it’s first flagship designed under Google. The Moto X has been one of the best smartphones since it’s release, so why would Google give that up for $10 billion less than they paid, and who too? Well apparently Lenovo fit the bill.

The now re-established Motorola brand is turning to the next 100 million people, and they feel that Lenovo is the perfect partner to help them achieve that.
