For the past couple months we’ve seen rumors that Samsung would release a slightly smaller and less powerful version of the Galaxy Note 3 that would sell at a lower cost. The device would be called the Galaxy Note 3 Neo. Samsung has now confirmed those rumors officiailly announcing the device in 3G and LTE variants. Samsung Poland posted the announcement of the device on Thursday.

The new device has a 5.5 inch OLED display with a 720p resolution. It also packs 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage (expandable via microSD) and since it is a Note product, an S Pen stylus. Processor wise the device has two different configurations, one on the LTE variant, and one on the 3G variant. The LTE version of the Note 3 Neo has two 1.7GHz A15 cores and four 1.3GHz A7 cores. The 3G version has four 1.6GHz cores of unknown name.

The pricing and availability of this device are still unknown, but all variants of the phone are unlikely to hit the US or UK markets at any point in time.
