As the launch of the HTC M8, the successor to the HTC One, gets closer and closer, leaks start to tell what we will see in the new device.
Cases that were leaked in the past few weeks have showed a cutout up on top for what we expected to be a second camera, bigger flash, or even a fingerprint scanner. Now that we are seeing the actual device it appears that a second camera lens will most likely be what’s up on top. Two cameras have been seen on HTC devices before in the HTC Evo 3D, but it is highly unlikely that the second camera is for 3D videos and images. It is more likely that the second camera is simply to improve performance on the phone’s Ultrapixel camera.
The M8 is most likely going to ship with a 1080p display, and a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, possibly the Snapdragon 805. The 800 is by no means a slow chip making devices like the LG G2 and Note 3 run buttery smooth even with their heavy skins. The device may also have on-screen navigation buttons and a removable back allowing for microSD card expansion and dual-SIM variants.
What are you looking forward to most in HTC’s next flagship?
