This is pretty surprising for a bunch of people. The reason would be that Nokia and HTC have been “battling it out” for a while with different lawsuits and complaints against each other. Nokia also had some issues with HTC and their smartphones. But now the two companies are joining hands to end all recent disputes and lawsuits.

With the new agreement, Nokia will get paid by HTC if they want to use their patents and technology. They say that this will allow them to focus on bigger and better tasks instead of wondering what the other company is doing against them.
