LG has been quietly updating their flagship LG G2 to Android 4.4.2 KitKat. AT&T users have the update rolling out now, but other carriers haven’t started yet. If you are on T-Mobile though, you can still manually install the update.
The update comes by way of XDA user Howie Dub who posted it earlier this afternoon. The download comes directly from LG and can be installed using their support tool. Update D80120A brings Android 4.4.2 to the device.
Some users are are reporting that ART (Android Runtime) is not available in dev options. Others are saying that the interface feels smoother, KnockOn works better, and the status bar icons are of course white. Unfortunately it seems that Google Wallet’s Tap to Pay is still disabled in this update.
Thanks to David Johnson on Google+ for reporting this to us!
