As Google’s Chromecast streaming dongle becomes more popular, more streaming services are developing the resources to allow users to cast content to their $35 streaming dongles. The latest to join is VUDU.

If you aren’t familiar with VUDU it’s a service similar to iTunes or Google Play Movies where you pay per movies to rent or buy in standard or high definition instead of a monthly subscription fee like Netflix of Hulu Plus. The service has over a hundred thousand titles to choose from and they have just announced that Chromecast capabilities will be coming very soon. No specific date was mentioned but they are looking for beta testers. Chromecast will be added to VUDU’s iOS and Android apps as well as their desktop interface on the web.
