Verizon HTC M8 Sold On eBay – It’s Not Called What You Expect – Specs Confirmed
With still a couple weeks left to go till the launch of HTC’s next flagship, the HTC M8, there’s still plenty of time for leaks, and today we’ve gotten one of the best yet. An eBay user today listed the unreleased HTC M8 and sold it for a mere $499.99 off-contract for Verizon Wireless. While we doubt that $499 will be the real off-contract price for this phone, it’s great to finally see the official specs and official packaging of the phone.
First let’s start off with the name. Most people have basically jumped down HTC’s throat after hearing that the M8 would be named “The All New HTC One” but luckily HTC isn’t making that the offical name, but instead using it for marketing and promo material. After that we see that this phone is indeed coming to Verizon Wireless at launch which is nice to see after the several month wait on the original HTC One.
Now we can talk about the specs. The M8 will pack a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.3 GHz along with 2GB of DDR2 RAM. It also comes with 32GB of storage (at least the one sold on eBay) with expandable storage via microSD up to 128GB. The screen size is also confirmed at 5-inches at a 1080p resolution. The duo camera is mentioned and that UltraPixel technology will make a return. The front camera is a 5MP shooter capable of HDR shooting. It seems like HTC is trying to take selfies to a new level.
What do you think of these confirmed specs? Is it what you were expecting? Let us know in the comments.
