Yesterday was a big day for HTC as they launched their newest flagship, the HTC One M8, which came to mixed first impressions. Another lesser known move by the company was their decision to do it Google’s way and move most of Sense’s core applications to Google Play. This is a great thing to do since it allows manufacturers to push updates to core apps without having to send OTA updates. So far Motorola, Sony, and Google themselves have done this so it’s great to see HTC added to the list. But this isn’t just a great move for HTC users.

In their press release on Tuesday the company stated that HTC Blinkfeed will be available to other Android devices in the future. We don’t yet know which device these are but it’s expected devices such as the Nexus 5, Moto X, and LG G2 along with other KitKat devices will be able to use the launcher. Personally I’m excited to see what HTC does with this and I do think it’s a great move. But what do you think? Would you want Blinkfeed on your device?
