Most of us have at least heard of Google’s Chromebooks since they released a few years ago. Over the past two years, Google has been pushing the brand to new heights and they have proven more and more successful. Their success is mainly attributed to their extremely low cost. Until now however, we didn’t know exactly how successful they were.

Last year alone, 2.1 million Chromebooks were shipped which may not sound like a lot, mainly because it’s not. Windows and Mac both outsold Chromebooks last year, but the growth Chromebooks experienced was much higher. PC sales have been declining over the past few years, so it’s nice to see that Google’s Chromebooks were able to sell well. After all, Chromebooks have held the top spot on Amazon’s best seller list in Laptops for a long time now between the Acer C720 and the Samsung Series 3 Chromebooks.

Google’s Chrome browser is the most popular on the planet, so it’s nice to see that Google’s Chromebooks are starting to follow that same path into the consumer’s hands. Do you have a Chromebook? Are you planning to get a Chromebook?
