Official Reddit Apps For Android, iOS, & Mac Confirmed – Hiring Developers Now

Reddit is one of the most popular sites on the web right now with many dedicated users. Even with that dedicated fan base, the site has remained solely on the web, but now they are headed to your devices.

In a job listing posted on the site today, Reddit unofficially announced that they would be working on bringing official apps to Android, iOS and Mac. They are aiming to bring Reddit to mobile devices to make it easier and more appealing to find content on Reddit. The job listing posted refers to bringing a cleanly designed application to each platform. They are currently looking for developers with experience in Java (for Android) or Objective C (for iOS/Mac) as well as a background in Android/iOS/HTML design/styling/layout work. If you are interested, check out the listing on Reddit.

While there are plenty of great third-party Reddit apps on both Android and iOS, it will be interesting to see what an official app will bring. Are you a Reddit user? Let us know in the comments what you think about this news!
