The Xperia Z2 is arguably one of the best phones of 2014, but like many of their other devices, Sony doesn’t have plans to launch the device in the US on major carriers. Today however, in an innocent post about the Xperia Z2, the company just revealed the phone for Verizon’s network.

This would be the first Sony Xperia phone to hit Verizon’s network and the first Xperia Z2 variant to officially launch on a US carrier. While this isn’t a guarantee that the phone will come to Verizon’s network, it’s a pretty safe bet. Right now Sony’s only official news on the Xperia Z2 on US shores is through their store, unlocked for GSM networks.
