We’ve finally reached the next-generation consoles at the release of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and one of the major improvements in this new generation is the controllers. Both companies have stepped up their game, and with Sony’s DualShock 4, we’re expecting some new functionality additions to make the controller even better.
Sony’s Xperia Android smartphones have been of top notch quality the past couple years, and one of the coolest things about some of them is that they can be connected to a DualShock 3 controller to play certain games. Many users have been wondering when Sony would update this functionality to work with the DualShock 4 controller, and now it seems that it’s not too far away from happening.

One of Sony’s international Twitter accounts recently posted the image seen above showcasing the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra as a PlayStation Certified Device with a DualShock 4 controller seen directly below. That means that the functionality isn’t too far off. However I’m a little more excited to see when developers bring this to other Android devices in the future.
