Root eventually comes to almost every device, and now it’s already coming to the recently announced Motorola Moto E. The Moto E is designed as a low cost device and it’s $129 unlocked price reflects that, however something that sweetens the deal even more is that the device has an unlockable bootloader.
The brilliant developers over at XDA have already given the device full root access and an unofficial TWRP custom recovery. Getting root access can be accomplished either by using TWRP as your recovery or through fastboot using TWRP. Obviously this isn’t perfect as TWRP does have some bugs as it is unofficial.
However you choose to go about rooting, you’ll need an unlocked bootloader, which luckily, Motorola officially supports.
