Google unveiled their project tango earlier this year in the form of a phone that could sense the world around it similarly to how we could. Since then we haven’t heard much about the project, but today Google has teamed up with NVIDIA to bring this awesome new technology into a 7″ inch tablet.
The Project Tango Tablet development kit is a high powered 7″ inch Android tablet that brings specs to rival many laptops and endless possibilities. The technology behind Project Tango allows developers to create environments using the users surrounding. It does so by using the many cameras and sensors on board to understand the world around it.
- 7-inch screen (resolution currently unknown)
- NVIDIA K1 Processor
- 4GB RAM
- 128GB Storage
- Android KitKat
- Support For Open GL 4.4
- 120 degree front facing camera
- 4MP (2 micrometer pixels – This is likely the same camera found in the HTC One)
- Motion Tracking Rear Camera
- Integrated Depth Sensor
While it may cost the hefty price tag of $1,024, it has the capabilities to run basically anything a developer could make. Developers can sign up now to get the tablet when it becomes available
