Security is a huge part of Chrome OS topped off by the fact that the operating system is virtually immune to viruses. There are also several security features included on the operating system including encryption features. However it won’t stop there. Google is currently preparing a new feature for Chrome OS that will allow users to lock, erase, and even locate your Chromebook remotely.
Currently the feature is hidden since it’s inactive on Google’s end, but you can see it by using an experimental command line switch to make the feature visible in Chrome OS settings. Right now clicking on the “enroll” button won’t do anything since the feature is still a “work in progress”.
