T-Mobile Uncarrier 5.0 Will Include Simplified Billing According To New Leaks

Tomorrow T-Mobile is planning to have an event as part of their Uncarrier movement. Uncarrier 5.0 has been rumored for several different new changes including how the company deals with unlocked phones, however some new leaks have shown us exactly what we will be seeing.

As you can see in the pictures above and below, Uncarrier 5.0 consists of simplifying the billing process. One thing being changed is prorated billing. Instead of a complicated process that can confuse many customers, your monthly bill will be just a monthly bill showing a single month’s charges. Also EIP charges will now be included in the first months bill rather than coming up to three months later.

Perhaps the most important change is the inclusion of the first installment charge on the first bill. The first installment charge is for any purchased hardware through T-Mobile. For instance, the way T-Mobile billing is currently set up, when a customer purchases a new smartphone through T-Mobile they might not get billed for said smartphone until a few bill cycles later. This has understandably caused some confusion on the customers part, making them think they owe less on their new phone than they actually do.

If this Uncarrier 5.0 plan comes to fruition then yet again our hats are off to T-Mobile, they continue to pave they way for mobile carriers. This new “Uncarrier” approach by T-Mobile has got them a significant amount of users and continues to do so, we hope that T-Mobile continues to innovate and change the way that we look at mobile carriers.
