Just before Microsoft unveiled the Surface Pro 3 to the world, rumors were flying wide about a new smaller version of Microsoft’s tablet aptly dubbed the Surface Mini. However reports later came that the device was pulled from production directly before launch but no one knew why. Of course that is only if the device actually existed in the first place.
Now that the Surface Pro 3 is out however, users are reading into it and several have found evidence in the manuals that pretty definitively out the tablet’s existence. For example, one spot (since pulled from the online manual) says “You’ll pair your new pen with Surface Mini a little later during setup.”
Even if you look at it as a typo, the fact that Microsoft was so quick to pull it down has to mean something right? Even some other references show that the tablet does indeed exist but it’s unknown if it will ever see the light of day.
