Recently Volvo has joined the Open Automotive Alliance and already has plans for their next Android Auto car. The new car they hope to unveil will be the XC90 and will be shown at the Paris Motor Show in October of this year.
Even though the car will have Apple CarPlay support built-in, but it will also include Android Auto. This is a smart move on their part, making it easier for most car owners to be able to use this vehicle to it’s potential. The XC90 has a vertical touchscreen, displaying both Android OS info along with and Volvo information by it’s side. This gives a seamless experience when operating the vehicle as well as operating Android.
The XC90 will be available for order in late 2014. The car will be roaming the streets in early 2015. Go ahead and check out the press release below.
