Lumia 530 Announced – The New Entry Level Windows Phone

Today Microsoft announced the brand new entry level Windows Phone. The Lumia 530. This device aims at the budget conscious as a successor to last year’s popular Lumia 520. The device is sold at about the same price point as last year’s device. Both the single SIM and dual SIM variants are listed beneath €100 (approx. $135).

Specs are actually pretty decent. Powered by a quad core Snapdragon 200 processor with 512MB of RAM and a 4″ display. The full specs are below. Colors include orange, bright green, white and grey. Backs are swappable and both the single SIM and dual SIM variants will be available in select markets in August. These markets include the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Turkey, Spain and several other countries. You can see the full list on Microsoft’s website below. The unit runs Windows Phone 8.1 out of the box with on screen navigation.
