Even though Huawei’s Ascend Mate 2 came out earlier this year, it seems the next version is already coming up quick. Leaked photos came in not too long ago, but weren’t originally identified as the Ascend Mate 3. Now thanks to some new info though, we know that we are looking at the Huawei Ascend Mate 3.
Rumors and leaks suggest that this device will pack a 6″ Inch, 1920×1080 display, a nice upgrade over the current 720p Mate 2. This is expected to be backed by an Octa core Hisilicon Kirin 920 processor along with Adreno 305 graphics and 2GB of RAM. A 13MP camera is found around the back with a 5MP camera along the front. However those aren’t the specs we really care about with this device. It’s the battery that’s the real store. The Ascend Mate 2 was an attention grabber because it could easily last two days on a single charge. It seems that the Ascend Mate 3 will bring the same power thanks to a whopping 4,050 mAh battery inside.
Apparently the device also brings a fingerprint sensor and metallic build as well. There’s no official confirmation yet on a release date or announcement, but reports state that it will come sometime in September.
