While the LG G3 Beat, aka G3 Mini, has already been announced, yet about G3 variant has come once again with a small screen but this time with better specifications. The LG G3 A is designed specifically for Korean carrier SK Telecom and isn’t a bad option for anyone looking at a new smartphone.
The phone brings the software and design language of the LG G3 into a slightly smaller, more manageable form factor. With a 5.2″ inch, 1080p display, this phone doesn’t have quite the draw that the G3’s Quad HD display brings, but still a great display as 1080p is still a widely accepted standard. Inside is a Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.26 GHz along with 2GB of RAM. Android 4.4.2 KitKat is also found on board. Storage comes in at 32GB but is expandable. A 13MP camera is around the back and a 2.1MP front shooter on the front panel. Inside is a 2,610 mAh battery (unknown if removable).
Does that sound familiar? I’d hope so. That’s pretty much the exact spec list as last year’s LG G2 handset. It’s basically the G2 in a different case, something I’ve been wishing for for months. The G3 A is expected to be available only in Korea in Black and White colors. If the device did come outside the US, would you consider it?
