Samsung’s first move into metal smartphones is expected to come in the Galaxy Alpha which we’ve seen leaked several times lately. But the latest leaks lead us to believe that it’s release will come in the few weeks. The first leak comes from Brazil and is believed to be the official specs for the upcoming phone. Just like we’ve seen in previous leaks, a 4.7″ inch 1280×720 display is coming in this device along with an Exynos processor under the hood. 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage are also found on the device. Very interestingly, the leak specifically mentions a lack of SD card support. Around the back is a 12MP camera with a 2.1 MP camera up front. A fingerprint sensor and heart rate monitor round up Samsung’s external feautres. On the software side, Samsung’s usual TouchWiz offering is expected over top Android 4.4 KitKat.
It’s the build on this phone that will really set it apart from Samsung’s other offerings. The device’s branding was seen at a Russian event as a sponsor and was even seen in the hands of some attendees. Right now it seems that the release of this device is imminent. The latest rumors point to a release as soon as August 13th. Would you pick it up?
