Microsoft’s Windows operating system is due for it’s next major iteration. Windows 8 has had mixed feelings of users, and we all hope that Microsoft will make things better with Windows 9. “Threshold” as it’s called could possibly be coming as soon as September 30th.
A new report from The Verge reveals a press event scheduled for September 30th, but notes that the date could change. The plan for the event is to officially unveil Windows 9 and launch a developer preview. The official public version would then be released in the Spring of 2015.
The next version of Windows, which may or may not be called Windows 9, is rumored to bring new features including the triumphant return of the Start Menu (sort of) along with Cortana and more. Rumors have circulated that the update will be free, but only time will tell with that. Are you getting excited?
