HTC Unveils Desire 510 – A 64-bit LTE Smartphone On A Budget

HTC’s Desire lineup has been expanding and selling extremely well, and today the company adds an addition to the line, the Desire 510. The device is “highly affordable” so don’t expect much. What’s the point? At a low price, it still brings LTE, something many budget phones don’t do.

The device runs Android 4.4 with Sense 6 on top on a 4.7″ inch 480×854 display. Running that is a Snapdragon 410 processor. That processor is capable of 64-bit, but HTC isn’t taking advantage of that in this handset. A single GB of RAM is also included along 8GB of internal storage expandable via microSD. A 5MP camera is on the back and a VGA camera on the front.

HTC hasn’t said when the device will be available, but we do know where. It will be on select carriers in the US (likely AT&T) as well as in Europe and Asia. Pricing also hasn’t been mentioned, so we will have to see just how affordable the phone will be.
