China Mobile Receives Over 33,000 Pre-Orders For The iPhone 6

Even though the iPhone 6 hasn’t been officially announced yet, China Mobile, the largest carrier in China, has already started accepting preorders for both a 4.7 inch and a 5.5 inch variants of the handset. This would most likely to confirm that the 5.5 inch iPhone does exist. The world’s largest carrier has restricted preorders to its online store accessible in Beijing. Since they are began accepting these preorders, China Mobile has already had more than 33,000 reservations. A person familiar with the timing of the launch said that the next iPhone would be released in the middle of this month, exciting isn’t it? This does align with previous rumors of a September 19th retail release.

On Taobao, (which the largest e-commerce platform in China) several online stores that will be receiving the phone, are requesting that customers put down $810 USD to reserve the model, let me repeat that, $810. One of the electronics sellers on the platform said that many are asking about the iPhone, but not many are actually putting down money to reserve it…I mean I wouldn’t blame them. He also said that since July, he has had 16 orders, but this is something that has been seen throughout the country, due to the fact Apple is making its products available in China closer to the actual launch date.
