Super Smash Bros. for 3DS is right around the corner. In fact, its Japan release is this Saturday, which means a three-week longer wait for it to come our way. Fortunately, that wait can be satiated a little bit this week.
Nintendo of America announced through Twitter that there will be a special Treehouse Smash 3DS livestream event on Friday, September 12th via Twitch. The 8-hour stream will take a look at some upcoming Wii U and 3DS games, including the final version of Super Smash Bros. for 3DS.
This event will likely have some new surprises for us considering that the game being shown is what you can pick up on launch. Only one of the potentially leaked characters from last week has been confirmed (Shulk from Xenoblade Chronicles), and there are some alternate costumes for characters popping up from the Japanese version. Of course these are rumors, so I wouldn’t want to disclose them when they aren’t confirmed.
Either way, getting another look at the game will be fun with the Nintendo Treehouse on board. You can check it out at twitch.tv/nintendo. Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS comes out October 3rd in North America.
