Apple opened pre-orders for their latest iPhone models recently, and in less than 24 hours, the company says that they’ve sold over 4 million units. That’s a new record for the company with pre-orders. Previously the iPhone 5 sold 2 million units through pre-orders and then another 5 million during opening weekend. Last year the iPhone 5S an 5C sold a combined 9 million units during opening weekend. Following those patterns, the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus could possibly be the phones to surpass 10 million units sold during opening weekend, if Apple can keep up with demand. If you were planning to get an iPhone 6 Plus, you might be waiting a while as supply is limited.
