Bendgate is still going all over the Apple community, and Apple is still trying to downplay it. While we know that only a few customers have reported the issue, that doesn’t mean that the phone doesn’t really bend under pressure.
To show it themselves, two younger kids went to their local Apple store and got their hands on the iPhone 6 Plus, but they didn’t buy it. Instead they took a brand new demo unit that was on display and bent it right there inside the store. As they didn’t really want to pay for the phone, they quickly recorded it bending and then quickly left the store. After that first go, they came back and did the same thing with a second 6 Plus, this time with more force. Reports have said that this has happened in quite a few Apple Stores, but this may be the first one to be filmed.
The teenagers involved in the video says “The reason why we were laughing is because it was really funny. We were in the Apple store bending and breaking their iPhone, which I guess is criminal damage but I don’t even care, to be honest. It’s Apple’s fault, They are false advertising, saying that it’s the best iPhone but clearly it’s not if it can bend in your pocket. It’s just ridiculous.”.
What do you think about all of this? Should these kids get in trouble for this? Let us know in the comments.
