Sony’s first entry into the Android Wear market, the Sony Smartwatch 3, hasn’t been officially announced when it comes to US availability, but apparently Verizon doesn’t care. Yesterday during their announcement of the Sony Xperia Z3V, the company confirmed the price and release of the Smartwatch 3, at least on their network.
The watch is set to debut on October 23rd, the same day as the Xperia Z3V, and will be priced at $249. Just like LG G Watch and Moto 360, we’re looking at Android Wear on this device. The watch has a 1.6 inch display with a resolution of 320×320. A 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 is found inside along with 512MB of RAM. The main focus, at least for me, is the 420mAh battery which is the highest capacity on an Android Wear device so far. Could we finally see two days of battery?
