Today we’re all expecting Google to drop the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 alongside Android L. We don’t know when they will, but rumors and leaks point to today. Nexus devices have always been one of the best values in mobile tech since prices are kept very low and quality is kept very high. However, that might change this year.
According to a couple leaked photos from German retailers, the Nexus 6 and 9 will both be priced well over their previous devices. Granted these prices could easily change but since we are so close to the official announcement, I’m not counting on it. Note: These prices are in Euros and probably will not convert directly to USD.
For the Nexus 6 we’re looking at a price of €569.00 for the base 32GB model. A 64GB model will also come in priced at €649.00. Those prices are much higher than previous years. Granted these prices are expected to be about €50 higher than the Google Play price, but that’s still higher than normal. Last year’s Nexus 5 was priced at €399 at the same retailer.
As for the Nexus 9, we will be looking at a starting price of €399.00 for the 16GB WiFi model. $399 is the expected price for the US. At for other models, the 32GB WiFi model is expected to come in at €489.00. A final 32GB LTE model is coming at €569.00.
So, are these prices too much for you or are you still planning to get the device/devices? Let us know in the comments below.
