Android Wear has been the wearble platform of choice here at iTechTriad and for good reason. It’s awesome. But in it’s current form it’s not at it’s full potential. There are still plenty of bugs, features are lacking, and battery life is sub-par, especially on some devices in particular. Google has already confirmed that Android Wear 2.0 is on it’s way this year, and it seems like it is right around the corner.
According to sources familiar with Android Police it seems that November 3rd will be the release date for Android Wear 2.0. That would set it at the same release as Android Lollipop and also on the shipping date for the Nexus 9 and Nexus Player. We don’t know exactly what will be included in the update but we are expecting more functionality and use of new sensors as well as more material design aspects.
