I’m serious. It finally happened. After using 1GB of RAM in their phones and tablets while other manufacturers were on their way to 3, Apple has finally given their latest iPad a full 2GB of RAM. The creators of the Geekbench benchmark application came across this information during their testing with the device. They also found that the tablet has 3 CPU cores.
As you can seen in the benchmark results above, the iPad Air 2 smokes the rest of Apple’s lineup when it comes to these tests. We don’t know exactly why Apple made the switch now and not in their new iPhone 6, but either way, it’s a change for the better. Does this make you want an iPad Air 2?
