Chromebook Shipments Rise 67% In Q2

According to the latest data from ABI research, shipments of Chromebooks jumped up 67% during the second quarter of this year. These purchases include that from both home users and the education market. 

“Consumers are hungry for a product that is cost effective but also provides the versatility and functionality of a laptop. The growth of the Chromebook market demonstrates a niche that is gaining traction among consumers.”

The report also says that 78% of the Chromebook market is currently in the US. This is expected to change with other important markets gaining traction in Chromebook sales.
