Fitbit Unveils Fitness Bands And A Smartwatch

Fitbit, known for their fitness bands and activity trackers, has announced a new selection of products looking for a spot on your wrist very soon; introducing the all new Fitbit Charge, Charge HR, and the Surge.

Fitbit Charge

Much like the Fitbit Force from yester-year, the Charge can track your steps, and even the stairs you’ve climbed. There is also new automatic sleep detection, and will show you the Caller ID of incoming calls. It is water resistant and will last up to 7 days on a single charge.

Fitbit Charge HR

The Fitbit Charge HR is a step above from the Charge, except the Charge HR features Fitbit’s new “PurePlus” technology, which offers constant heart-rate tracking 24/7. This means that you will get more detailed heart-rate information during different types of exercises. The Charge HR will still track your steps, floors climbed, and distance. In terms of battery life the Charge HR will last up to 5 days.

Fitbit Surge

Now the Fitbit Surge is the “fitness super-watch” of the bunch. Featuring a full-fledge backlit LCD black and white touchscreen display with customizable watch faces, built-in GPS, heart-rate monitor, Caller ID, text alerts, and music control. All these features are really compelling and the fact it doubles as a fitness tracker, makes it even more unique and great. In terms of battery life you can expect the Surge to last at least 7 days on a single charge! That’s impressive.

The Fitbit Charge is available right now on Fitbit’s website, however, the Fitbit Charge HR, and the Surge will be available early 2015. For pricing, the Charge will come in at $129, the Charge HR will cost $149.95, and the Surge will cost $249.95. These three products will also be available in a variety of colors.
