After a short exclusive at Verizon, the Sony Smartwatch 3 is now available through Google Play next to the Moto 360, LG G Watch R, and more. The watch runs for $249 and brings some new features that we have yet to see from an Android Wear device.
First of all this watch includes it’s own GPS for those who are interested in using the watch disconnected from the phone. Aside from that we also have the biggest battery of any Android Wear device to date with a 420 mAh battery inside. The Sony Smartwatch 3 also includes an IP68 water resistance rating, the highest of any Android Wear device to date. Aside from that we have the standard Snapdragon 400 and 512mb of RAM inside this watch. A 1.6″ inch display is also found here.
As a side note this watch uses microUSB for charging rather than a proprietary adapter or wireless charging. Definitely be sure to check this one out over on Google Play.
