Leak Shows Off Samsung’s Android 5.0 Update Plans

Android 5.0 Lollipop is one of the biggest updates to Android ever and most Android enthusiasts are extremely excited for it. The update brings tons of great new features, better performance, new animations, and a beautiful new design. Of course this is still Android so OEMs are going to slow down update quite a bit, but most are already hard at work to get their devices updated. Motorola and LG have already announced their updates and leaks have shown off Samsung’s work. Unfortunately though Samsung hasn’t announced anything official yet. However we do now know when the updates are headed out.

According to a leaked document Samsung is planning on giving out Lollipop updates to some of their more recent devices including the Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy S5, Galaxy Alpha, and more. The full list is below.

  • Galaxy Note 4 – SM-N910F – January 2015
  • Galaxy Alpha – SM-850F – January 2015
  • Galaxy S5 – SM-G900I – January 2015
  • Galaxy S5 – SM-G900F – January 2015
  • Galaxy Note 3 – SM-N900 – February 2015
  • Galaxy Note 3 LTE – SM-N9005 – February 2015
  • Galaxy S4 – GT-I9500 – March 2015
  • Galaxy S4 LTE – GT-I9505 – March 2015
  • Galaxy Note 3 Neo – SM-N750 – Unknown



Do keep in mind that the devices on that list are just a part of the Phase 1 testing. Further devices should get the update as well. Reported updates include the following.
