The Nexus 9’s “premium” build quality has been under question by a lot of users and on my personal unit, the biggest gripe for me is the horrible, terrible, just simply awful volume and power buttons. However after the complaints, HTC now seems to be fixing the issue on new batches of the tablet.

Reddit user “Sebianoti” posted the image you see above which shows that the buttons on a newer Nexus 9 stick out noticeably further than the ones on the tablet from the first few batches. While this hasn’t been confirmed on other tablets, it seems logical that HTC would have taken this step. The poster also states that light-bleed issues on the Nexus 9 have also been fixed.
