Chromebooks are generally valued for their inexpensive prices and portable form factors. However for someone like me who prefers using a Chromebook over everything else, there are times we want the larger screens of Windows and Mac devices. Unfortunately the largest Chromebook on the market right now is the 14″ inch HP 14. Acer however looks to change that next year.

The Acer C910 is expected to be a variant of the rumored Acer C740 which will be powered by a fifth generation Intel Broadwell processor and have a 15.6″ inch display. This marks a first in the Chromebook space as we’ve never had a Chromebook that big. The display will not be an IPS panel, but will come in two options. A 15.6″ inch 1366×768 display or a 15.6″ inch 1920×1080 display. Other specs include a 16GB storage with 2GB of RAM or 32GB of storage and 4GB of RAM.. 802.11ac Wifi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 3.0, and HDMI.

The release date for this machine should be sometime in March of next year. It will launch in the US first and Europe shortly after. Are you interested in this device? Let us know in the comments!
