Kicking off Samsung’s new metallic future, the Galaxy Alpha was an impressive device with less than impressive sales. The device never quite caught on for everyone, but it was still a great option with lots of potential. Samsung however seems to have decided that they would rather discontinue the Alpha, ending production in the coming weeks. ETNews reports that Samsung will stop producing the Alpha once the current inventory of it’s materials runs out.
With a gap left in it’s absence, Samsung is also reported to put a heavier focus on their Galaxy A5. The mid-range option won’t impress anyone in terms of speed, but will be a better option for the cost. One reason the Alpha didn’t do all that well was it’s price.
