“The Dart” Is Basically The Coolest Thing Ever To Happen To Laptop Chargers
Here I am sitting in my favorite chair in the living room, banging away on my Acer C720 and I look down at the battery status to see that it only has 1:20 of juice left. Will I be able to get this document typed up before the battery expires? The charger for the C720 is in the other room and I don’t want to get up to go get it. Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a charger that worked on all laptops like USB adapters work on a myriad (fancy word alert!) of devices. Well, there is, thanks to a company called FINsix and their invention the Dart.
The Dart is a portable power solution. No more bulky power bricks and long power cords. Just plug the Dart in and use interchangeable tips to plug into your laptop. I consulted the long list of compatible devices and luckily both my HP Chromebook 14 and my Acer C720 is on the list.
The Dart is a 65 watt adapter that is four times smaller than those bulky power bricks. You can easily carry the Dart around with your laptop and still have room in your bag for more toys. The Dart has a 2.1A USB port, so you can charge your laptop and phone simultaneously (another fancy word alert!). I would plug my Chromebook into the Dart right now, except it’s not yet available. The Dart is due out sometime in the 2nd Quarter of 2015. I have requested a unit for review, so keep your eye on iTechTriad for more information.
