ASUS Takes The Smartphone Camera To A New Level With The ZenFone Zoom

ASUS has been teasing us with it for the past few days, optical zoom in a smartphone camera. Now, at their conference, ASUS has made it official with a new device they are calling the ZenFone Zoom. This device and its amazing camera puts ASUS up there with flagships such as the iPhone 6.

Sporting a 5.5-inch 403ppi display, the ZenFone Zoom is no joke, not only does it have a big and vivid screen, it also has some impressive internals. The ZenFone Zoom is sporting a powerful quad-core 64 bit Intel Atom processor, pair this with the devices 3,000mAh battery and you’ve got a force to be reckoned with.

On the software side of things, the ZenFone Zoom will come out of the box running Android 5.0 Lollipop. Of course this will be mostly covered up by ASUS’ ZenUI custom skin. Speaking of ZenUI, ASUS is saying that their updated skin now includes a new level of customization which is always welcome.

The real exciting stuff is in the ZenFone Zooms camera. This camera was definitely designed with serious photographers in mind. It is a 13MP, 10-elemental lens, 3X optical zoom beast. Oh and did we mention it has optical image stabilization?
