HTC One M8 Lollipop Rollout Starts Today For Unlocked And Developer Units

With the release of Android Lollipop, HTC quickly announced their plans for releasing the update to their latest devices. They promised that the HTC One M8 would be updated within 90 days of when Google released the open source code for Android Lollipop and now, about 70 days later, they have fulfilled their promise.

Starting today, those who own Unlocked or Developer editions of the HTC One M8 (Android, duh) will begin receiving an update to Android Lollipop with the Sense 6.0 skin on top. Mo Versi, HTC’s VP of product management tweeted that technical approval had been granted by Google and now users are already getting the OTA update. Carrier variants of the phone will likely follow close behind.
