LG Talks G4 At CES – To “Experiment” With The Upcoming Flagship

LG’s G3 has proved a big success for the company. It’s one of their best sellers ever and continues to be an awesome phone today. But as with anything good, it’s going to be improved upon, and the G3 is no exception. In an interview at CES 2015, and LG representative mentioned the G4 and what the company has planned for it.

Ken Hong, LG’s director of Corporate Communications, had this to say about LG’s next flagship.

I think we will [experiment with our high-end phones]. I think we have to. If you look at the specs only, there are other competitors with similar-spec phones. How do you stand out in that pile if you’re not doing something different?”
“I don’t think we are going to be able to sit back and expect people are just going to fawn over the G4, or whatever the name will be, just because they liked the G3. I don’t think it works that way any more. I don’t think people are as loyal on the Android side as they are on the iOS side, so you really have to win every customer with your products.

— Ken Hong, LG

It’s awesome to see that LG is taking their next flagship seriously and that they are trying their best to blow us away with it. The LG G4, if they do decide to call it that, is expected to be released late in the first half of 2015. What are you hoping to see from LG’s next flagship? Let us know in the comments below!
